Minnesota

Hey!! We're going to be in MN for the next week! Here are some things that Jessie needs to see:

1. Mall of America
2. Drive around some of the beautiful lakes
3. She needs to walk on a lake. It's a weird experience
4. My high school and Jr high
5. The rest of my childhood memories...

Anything else that I can think of in a week....

This should be a fun time!!

New Pictures Coming Soon

We have pictures scheduled for our "wedding day". We are doing them before the actual wedding because we want to make sure that we have some great weather. The date is December 17th and if it snows before that we are gonna try to do it then.

We are also looking for an apartment at the moment. We just need something until May because we will be leaving for another job this summer. Sean will be working for Apx Alarms (which is a competitor door-to-door company to Trent's :-/ ). Sean will be installing the security system, not selling them.

Things are going well with the wedding plans. Everything seems like it's lining up!!

WE ARE REGISTERED

On Friday we went and registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Macy's. It was a lot of fun to go through the store and dream about how our new home together is going to look. It just added to our excitement to finally get to just move in together and start a home! As of now we have LESS than 2 months until the wedding (which is like one month and 26 days but still that is less!!).

So if you feel so inclined to go to one of those stores and just happen to want to check out our registry we'd be okay with that!

Also something that Jessie didn't let Me (this is Sean writing this) register for is a full sized popcorn maker at Bed Bath & Beyond... so just assume that is on our list too :)

Reception

GOOOOD NEWS!  We got the barn for our reception!  We're SO happy.  Quick recap.. We wanted to use the barn from the very beginning BUT they have been having issues with the city when it came to parking space.  They told us we wouldn't be able to use it, so we were going to have to settle with the Mapleton City Building instead.. which is nice.. just not what I wanted.  Then, last week, I got a phone call from the wonderful owner of the barn (and friend of the family), with the fabulous news. Get ready for the coziest winter wedding you ever did see :)
Here's a link so you can see what the barn looks like -

Thanksgiving Point Adventure

We have now seen our engagement pictures but we don't have them on CD yet so we can't put them up here yet. As soon as we have them we will post them.
Today we went to a really amazing place here. Thanksgiving point gardens. It is such an awesome place that is totally a hidden gem. So we thought we'd put up some of our fun pictures!!

Picture Perfect

Ahh, what a good day.  We finally took our engagement pictures, after lots of anticipation and many shopping trips.  We went up to the Great Salt Lake, which turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. We took pictures by this really cool building at the "beach" of the salt lake. Then we changed into our more casual clothes and did a bunch of pictures out in the sand and on some rocks and things like that. Our photographer was really cool. She had us do all sorts of things and I think they will be really fun. We ended the photo shoot by jumping around in the great Salt Lake. Let me tell you, it is SALTY. Not like ocean salty, like pure liquid salt. We walked back to the car all wet but it was well worth it. We should be getting the pictures in the next week so we'll post them on here!

First Post

We decided to join the world of blogging. I think that blogging is the facebook for couples and families. So we will do our best to keep this updated for those who care to read it.

If you are reading this then most likely you will already know how Jessie got proposed to. It was a really great way if I say so myself (if you haven't noticed this is Sean writing this first post). Things since then have been awesome. Jessie and her mom are like wedding planning guru's. They have most everything planned as far as I know. Jessie has gotten a dress which I still have yet to see, but from what I hear it is beautiful. The assignment I have is to get a honeymoon planned which I will be doing this week and hopefully we will be able to go on a cruise that week after our wedding.

If you haven't already, keep January 4th open. We are trying to get a really cool reception house in Mapleton booked but I guess they are having trouble with the city and the parking situation. We SHOULD know by the end of this month though.

Other then the wedding plans we are just trying to juggle school, work, and still seeing each other. Our schedules are completely opposite so we don't get to see each other as often as we would like. It will sure be nice to just be married and living in one place.

Well all done with this first post. Become a "follower" of this blog so we feel cool :)
